As an experienced entrepreneur, patron of the arts, and a founding member of the ECM Industry Advisory Board, Mr. Moyes brings a wealth of experience and understanding to the Center. A senior instructor for the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Frank is a key resource for translating traditional business theory and practice into a specialized curriculum developed to aid aspiring artists. He holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University. Margaret Van Sistine
We’re pleased to introduce Margaret Van Sistine as the new Graduate Assistant for the ECM in 2005-2006. She comes to us from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received her BM in trumpet performance along with a Certificate in Business. While in Madison, she studied trumpet with with Prof. John
Aley. Margaret is pursuing her Master's Degree in trumpet performance and is studying with Professor Terry Sawchuk. Her work with the ECM will include planning and scheduling events, preparation of course materials, and assisting the Director with planning and management. |
Darcy Dennison-Harwood
Darcy Dennison-Harwood finished her Master’s Degree in cello performance in the spring of 2005 at the University of Colorado at Boulder where she studied with Judith Glyde. Darcy serves on the faculty at the Rocky Mountain Center for Musical Arts in Lafayette and maintains a private studio in Boulder. She enjoys performing in opera orchestras and has performed in Italy at the Music Theater and Opera Festival of Lucca. She is currently playing in the CU Summer Opera Series. Darcy received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she studied with Elizabeth Anderson.

Bonnie Draina
Soprano Bonnie Draina is a resident of Boulder, Colorado, where she is pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in voice performance and pedagogy at the University of Colorado. She holds the Master of Music degree, with honors, in voice performance and pedagogy from Westminster Choir College. Her undergraduate studies were in music at Drew University, where she graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

Jennifer Sloan
Jennifer Sloan received her M.M. in Oboe Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2004. She studied with Professor
James Brody. She received her Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance,
Magna Cum Laude from the Louisiana State University. She attended the University
of Southern California in Los Angeles for graduate studies in Oboe Performance.
PAST PRINCIPALS
Kevin Woelfel
A past Director of the ECM, Mr. Woelfel's performance career began as the Third/Assistant Principal Trumpet position with the Spokane Symphony. In the years that followed, he performed with many orchestras including the Chicago Lyric Opera, Grant Park Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic, and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. As a composer and arranger, Mr. Woelfel was with the U.S. Air Force Band stationed in Vacaville, California and Yokota, Japan. An entrepreneur, Kevin has founded two manufacturing companies: WolfPak Incorporated, and Rocky Mountain Case Works. He has also founded www.artsstart.org to distribute the I'mART model for opportunity analysis.
Michael Millar
In addition to serving as the second Director of the ECM, Grammy Award-winning bass trombonist Michael Millar has been a freelance artist in Los Angeles for over 20 years. Dr. Millar currently serves as Executive Director and bass trombonist of the Santa Clarita Symphony. He holds the degree of Doctor of Musical Arts, with concentrations in Performance and Arts Administration, from Claremont Graduate University, as well as performance degrees from the University of Colorado – Boulder and California State University – Los Angeles. Michael Millar is an artist/clinician for the Conn-Selmer Company, Inc. and performs on Bach trombones. He can be reached at millar@music.org
Catherine Fitterman
Ms Fitterman was the founding Director of the ECM and has been working with musicians for more than 20 years. A classical pianist by training, her many roles in the music industry include concert promoter, talent buyer, artist manager, strategic planner, major gift fundraiser, college teacher, and entrepreneur. Currently, Ms. Fitterman is Assistant Professor and Director of the Undergraduate Music Business Program at New York University’s Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions.
